One family across generations (.mp3 1.07M)
In the early decades of the 20th century, Dr. Nettie Edeiken was graduated from University of Pennsylvania medical school and studied opera at the Curtis Institute of Music. She sang at public events and on the radio. This is her recording of Ave Maria in the original German.

In the early days of the 21st century, Joey Edeiken Marson - great-grandson of Nettie Edeiken - continues the musical tradition with a bluesy guitar version.

And, yes, Joe is Bonnie's amazingly talented nephew. To hear more, check out: www.fakinggenius.com
